After most of the Holy Masses in Kamay ni Hesus or “Hand of Jesus”, a pilgrimage site in Lucban, Quezon Province, Father Joseph would minister the healing rites for the people.
Following the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the priest would carry the Eucharist in a beautiful monstrance containing our Eucharistic Lord and goes around the pews. Attached to the monstrance are two pieces of very long clothes in white in such a way that all church attendees can at least feel the touch of the hand of Christ even with the cloth. Remember the famous Bible quote, “If I only touch his garment, I shall be made well.”? (Matthew 9:21)
If you get lucky, you will have a (literally) close encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist. I was less than two meters away when I took this photo. Note that I made sure to not disturb anyone praying and keep my focus by continuously praying while taking this one and only photo.
Let us serve Christ and the Church in all circumstances!
