Super Fresh “Kamote” from our Garden Today

Advertisements

Never thought of having a handful of these today until my father-in-law surprised me with a couple of them early this morning. So, I went ahead and harvested the rest.

These came from a single plant, the only one that survived (I planted around 10) from what I sowed way back July last year.

I can finally taste some fresh sweet potatoes from our own garden for the first time. Just in time for the lenten season.

A Foot of a Rainbow in our Farmhouse

Look upon the rainbow, and praise him who made it, exceedingly beautiful in its brightness.

Sirach 43:11

When was the last time saw a real rainbow? Here in our place, when we see one, for some reason we see it so vividly that we think (as you can observe in the photos) one of its feet falls on our small paddy field.

So, I am officially proclaiming our farmhouse as the rainbow observatory capital of the Philippines. Of course I’m joking! Hope you enjoy these two raw photos I took on the 6th and 30th of December 2020 respectively.
